TOPIC OF PRESENTATION - "Contemporary Implant Dentisty in 2014"

Course  Objectives: At the end of the course, the participant will have a better understanding of:

.)  Treatment planning from the standpoint of the general dentist.  Case presentation format for maximum communication and understanding for the patient of their own "problems and solutions" with results.
.)  Use and comparisons of implants for immediate placement and our results. (AnyRidge system for MegaGen USA).
.)  New ideas for producing state of the art custom titanium and zirconium abutments with emphasis on esthetics, producing final crown and bridgework with optimal emergence profiles and cost containment.  Also, dealing with improperly placed implants.
.)  Digital scanning vs. impressions for implant dentistry.  Are we there yet? Is this cost effective and/or necessary?
.)  Use of Biohorizon implants in the areas of minimal bone and/or minimal space (e.g. maxillary lateral incisors).
.)  Pearls for each and every dentist to take back home covering everything from socket preservation, sequencing of treatment as well as management of implant supported over dentures.
.)  Transitioning patients from "teeth to no teeth and immediate implants." From diagnosis to surgery, to management during the "healing phase", to transitioning the immediate denture to an attachment retained overdenture in your office.
.) Management of peri-implantitis, the newest dental disease.
.)  A review of 28 years of surgical and clinical experience in treating implant patients, which includes "the good, the bad and the ugly" along with all of the "nuts, bolts, and nightmares."
